celebrating the season

Good gorgeous fall morning! I love this season! As I age, celebrating fall has become as exciting to me as preparing for Christmas. I love to see the leaves sprinkled over the bright green grass. Pumpkins and gourds add a bit of festiveness to our home. And the food! Pumpkin this, pumpkin that. A little bit (or a lot) of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves never hurt anyone.

As a I spent yesterday morning looking through my most recently downloaded pictures of the boys, and was shocked at all we've done in the last 2 weeks. We've really just stepped outside and enjoyed playing in the fresh air (which makes my boys sleep like champs!)

After looking through the pictures, I was excited to share a few of our most recent snapshots with you all.

I was lucky enough to attend Henry's apple orchard field trip.

The boys and I took a quick trip to a local pumpkin patch to pick out a few pumpkins.

A trip to Minnehaha Falls

and dinner with our friends.

Yesterday we made a trip to the Richardson Nature Center

The center has these really neat forts built and constantly being reconfigured by the Boy Scouts.
This happens to be my most favorite picture of all. No worries, he was not dangling by his neck, his right arm is still in his jacket sleeve. In his laughing cry for help, I asked him to be patient so I could snap a quick photo. I look at this picture and laugh. I wish I would have gotten his feet in the picture, so you could see that he is actually dangling from the fort--just a few feet. FUNNY!
Alright, must begin my day. Baby is up in his crib and waiting to be cuddled, and the cat has made a bed on my arms as I type on the computer. She's not big, but knows how to throw her weight around and let me know she's queen of this castle.

If you are local, I hope I shared some good spots for you to explore during this wonderful season.

Happy Tuesday!
